Picturesque Fife

Another lovely sunny day with very little wind, so we hopped in the car with Snoepie our Jack Russell terrier, and drove eastwards along the coast towards some of Fife’s picturesque places. First stop was the  small fishing village of St Monans,  with the final destination being the Cocoa Tree Cafe in Pittenweem, the next village along, where we sometimes head to on a Sunday morning to enjoy a cup of good coffee and a delicious roll or cake to accompany it, with a read of the Sunday papers thrown in. A few days ago we had our incognito assessment visit by VisitScotland and in addition to retaining our 4* rating , we have achieved a Taste our Best award which reflects our commitment to sourcing Scottish produce for our guests to enjoy.   The importance of offering good quality food which comes predominately from the local area, has been a feature of our bed and breakfast experience for several years now, and feedback from our guests shows that it is appreciated.
