Our Rooms

Bankhead House is a family home, and B&B guests are welcomed into an informal family atmosphere. Its rural location coupled with the close proximity to the coast , and the stunning views that can be enjoyed during each season of the year, make Bankhead a special place to stay.

The accommodation provides three spacious, comfortable, first floor bedrooms with ensuite facilities. The ensuites have modern luxury showers, heated towel rails and underfloor heating, and complimentary Lemon and Bergamot luxury toiletries by Cole and Lewis.

Town room

South and west facing, the room has a king size bed and a sitting area with reading lamp. The views are over the garden, countryside and sea.

Country room

Castle room

West facing with a view over countryside and sea, this room has a king size bed and an armchair. There’s also a desk with reading lamp.

Other Information

The bedrooms are television free in order to preserve their quiet, restful environment.

Downstairs, the dining room also doubles as the guest lounge. There’s a sitting area and television with Freeview. The room overlooks the garden, has lovely views to the sea, and there’s a log burning stove to keep it cosy. There are books, maps and information leaflets about the local area. WiFi is available throughout the house.

Breakfasts are cooked on the Aga. We use local produce from Fife when available, and we offer a selection of breakfast choices.

In the garden we grow strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, blueberries, apples, plums, rhubarb and blackberries, and use these for making jams and jellies and serving as fresh fruit or compote to be enjoyed at breakfast.
